| Pi Beta Phi was formed in response to secret societies of men. The founders wanted their organization for women to promote friendship, develop women of intellect and integrity, cultivate leadership potential and enrich lives through community service. The AZ Gamma chapter received their charter in 1990, and have continued to live by the ideals their founders set before them. |
