Our Values
For over 75 years, Northern Arizona University fraternities and sororities have provided a well-rounded experience for our Greek membership. The Greek Life program has enriched the campus community by planning activities and programs to address social needs, academic support, and leadership development for our students.
Leadership
Greek Life programs are dedicated to developing self-confidence and leadership skills, which allow men and women to accomplish goals as individuals and members of organizations. Students are certain to gain hands-on leadership experience directing committees, managing budgets, interacting with faculty and staff, attending conferences, and providing direction for their peers.
Scholarship
The mission of the university is to provide a solid learning environment for its students. Greek organizations are committed to complementing this mission and ensuring Greek students excel scholastically above all else. Every chapter at the university has a formal scholarship program designed to develop each member's potential as a student.
Service
On average, fraternities and sororities annually contributed $15,000 and 20,000 hours of community service to benefit local and national charities. Community service projects range from blood drives and highway clean-up days to addressing specific community needs and populations.
Friendship
NAU's Greek organizations provide a unique opportunity for lasting friendships. Fraternities and sororities offer a variety of activities to help students build connections with their peers. The social calendar often includes activities such as leadership retreats, brotherhood and sisterhood events, Greek Week, Family Weekend events, date parties, and intramurals.
