About the Olson Family Foundation

The Olson family has had a long and nurturing relationship with Native Americans of the United States, particularly the Navajo, Hopi, and Zuni Indians of Arizona.  Over the years, the family has observed the need for emotional and financial assistance to further these students' college educations.  The family also has strong ties to the area's Hispanic residents and recognizes a need to increase awareness of the value of education.  For these reasons, the family has established scholarship funds designated to Native American students from any tribe and to Hispanic students.

In the scholarship's first year, 2008-09, the fund will provide four scholarships of approximately $9,500 each for graduate education at NAU.
