As a Foster Grandparent Volunteer, you serve as a mentor, tutor, and loving care giver to children and youth with special or exceptional needs. Use your life experiences and wisdom to help change the future for a child who needs you. Make a difference.
The Foster Grandparent Program is open to men and women who:
The goal of the Foster Grandparent Program is to enable low-income persons aged 60 and over to remain physically and mentally active and to enhance their self-esteem through continued participation in needed community services.
In return for your service you will receive the following:
If you are bilingual in Spanish, Navajo, or Hopi, your skills are especially needed. There are a number of children who do not speak English as a primary language and would be grateful for a Foster Grandparent like you.
