Academic Transition Programs oversees NAU 100, EPS 101, Back on Track, the Academic Success Coaches, and NAUreads.

NAU 100
Transition to College, is a 1 credit hour freshman course designed to help you get an excellent start on your academic and social life at NAU. Learn the in's and out's of life as an NAU student by exploring academic, navigational, and life skills and have the opportunity to form new friendships with an instant support network of peers.

NAUreads
NAUreads is our campus-wide reading program. We ask all first-year students to read the same book and encourage students to participate in conversations about the book. This provides all our first year students with a common experience as they begin their educational journey. Students can use the book to initiate conversations and build community with their new classmates, roommates, and faculty. NAUreads also intersects with FlagstaffReads, bridging the NAU community with the Flagstaff community to create a one-book, one-city reading program.

EPS 101
Strategies for College Success, is a 3 credit hour freshman course about how to study in college.  The course will help you establish the habits and skills required for academic success. Students enrolled in EPS 101 will work with the Academic Success Coaches.

Back on Track (EPS 199)
Back on Track is a 1 credit hour course for First Year Students on academic probation.  Students enrolled in Back on Track will work with the Academic Success Coaches.

Academic Success Coaching
The Academic Success Coaches-Mentoring Excellence (ASC-Me’s)
are offered as additional support to students enrolled in EPS 101 and Back on Track.
