Faculty Senate Scholarship

2009 Application Form Information

Each year the Faculty Senate offers two $500.00 scholarships to promising students.  One scholarship is open to any qualified NAU student.  The second scholarship is open to a qualified Mountain campus student.  Preference will be given to a student that demonstrates a compelling need or having overcome a hardship.  Qualifications for the scholarships are:

• A high academic performance - GPA over 3.0;
• Must have completed at least 24 credit hours at NAU; 
• Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student at NAU.
• Deadline is Wednesday, March 25, 2009 by 12:00pm

A COMPLETED APPLICATION MUST INCLUDE:

• A copy of your NAU transcript (LOUIE unoffical is OK).
• Two letters of recommendation from NAU faculty members.
• A personal statement describing need, activities at NAU including information on academic as well as university and community activities.  Preference will be given to those students who demonstrate a compelling need or have overcome some adversity.
