ENV 181: Environmental Challenges

Fall, 2006 MWF 9:10-10:00

ENV 181 is a multi-disciplinary, team-taught course available for liberal studies credit in applied sciences, and features lectures, group discussions and field trips led by Marcus Ford, Professor of Humanities and Religious Studies; Rod Parnell, Professor of Environmental Sciences and Geology; and Jacqueline Vaughn, Professor of Political Science

This course examines these questions:

  • How can we address the major environmental issues of our time?
  • How do professionals in the natural sciences, the social sciences, and the humanities view these issues?
  • How can these varied perspectives help enact the changes necessary to solve these environmental problems?
