CESE Degree Programs

If it's science you love, we offer an extended B.S in Environmental Sciences. There is no minor required—instead you choose one of eight emphasis areas: Biology; Chemistry; Applied Geology; Microbiology; Environmental Administration and Policy; Environmental Communciation; or Environmental Management.

If you are more interested in environmental issues from the broadest perspectives, we offer both an Interdisciplinary Minor in Environmental Studies and an extended B.S. in Environmental Studies. To complete the environmental studies degree, in addition to your major core and liberal studies requirements, you choose a focus from one of five areas: Sustainability, Community, and Biological Diversity; The Southwest Environment; Globalization and Environmental Change; Landscape Interpretation and Conservation; or Water and Energy Systems.

The M.S. in Environmental Sciences and Policy offers the opportunity to understand, integrate, and apply scientific knowledge from diverse fields, including ecology, chemistry, geomorphology, and hydrology. The program provides training in critical thinking and communication skills delivered through a shared, interdisciplinary program core that is complemented by advanced technical studies tailored to meet your unique needs and interests.
