The Campus Sustainability Program

Northern Arizona University has launched a university-wide campus sustainability program “to conserve natural resources and reduce expenses while enhancing the university’s educational goals and workplace values.” CSE has been instrumental in starting and developing the NAU sustainability initiative. ENV 499-3: Research in Campus Sustainability

Internships

The Center for Sustainable Environments is dedicated to the involvement of the university's students in sustainabilty research. Through the College of Engineering and Natural Sciences at NAU, the CSE has been given the opportunity to offer several internships to students that include both academic and applied components. CSE is proud to be in our new home in the Applied Research and Development Building - one of the most efficient buildings in the world!  The ARD building has been granted the US Green Building Council's LEED "Platinum" certification, the highest level attainable.
