Director of Student Support Services

My name is Kristian Wiles and I am originally from Portland, OR. I completed my Bachelors of Arts degree in Sociology at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, WA. I spent the following two years finishing my Master of Arts degree in Sociology at University of Delaware in Newark, DE. During my time at Delaware I worked on projects investigating racial inequality and law; particularly racial profiling, the death penalty, and prisons. Before I came to NAU in 2006 I was living and working in Seattle, WA mobilizing communities to invest time and resources into youth development programs.

Throughout my career I have held various positions tutoring, teaching, and mentoring college students. I come into my position at Student Support Services (SSS) with the goal of providing academic support to SSS students while helping them realize success in their personal and professional lives. When I am not working, I enjoy music, movies, road trips, and playing sports.
