Life is Hectic! Let's Make a Plan (Time/Self Management)

Learn about various techniques that will help you take charge of your schedule and avoid procrastination.  Learn how to make the best use of your class syllabus to manage your time effectively and how to plan for relaxation and fun as well as academic responsibilities. 

Take Charge of Your Academic Success (Strategies of Successful College Students)  

Learn about how your individual learning style influences your study habits and how to maximize your study time.  Strategies related to reading comprehension, note taking, and understanding professor expectations will also be discussed.

Stop the Cramming! (Test Taking & Test Anxiety Strategies)

Learn about effective test taking strategies related to essay and multiple choice exams.  We’ll also go over the importance of establishing a test taking ritual and fundamental test preparation techniques.

Ahhh...I Need a Break! (Stress Management)

Learn about various stress management techniques that will help you cope with the demands of college life and expectations.  Additionally, learn how to manage test anxiety through a variety of strategies. 

Who Wants to Pass the Final? (Final Exam Preparation)

Strategies that focus on how to review a large amount of material will be discussed.  You’ll also learn how to devise a study schedule for your finals as well as how to stay focused and motivated through an academically rigorous time.

Crack the Textbook Code (Textbook Reading Strategies)

Develop strategies to increase your textbook reading skills. Improve retention and reduce repeated readins through skills learned at this workshop.

Put Your Best Pen Forward (Note-Taking Strategies)

Work smarter not harder! Become an effective note-taker by applying the not-taking skills learned in this workshop.

Elevate Your Writing (University Writing Strategies)

Gain an understanding of how to elevate your writing to the University level with skills and examples explored in this workshop. Learn how to turn in papers your instructors want to read.
