Ya'at'eeh (Hello),

I am Melissa Begay, Sr. Program Coodinator for Northern Arizona University's Nizhoni Academy.  I am of the Manygoats (Tl'izalani) clan and born for the Towering House (Kinyaa'aanii) clan and originally from Tuba City, Arizona.  I received my bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Northern Arizona University and a Masters in Administration with an emphasis in Educational Leadership. I truly believe that education is the key to a successful life to become self-sufficient.

I thoroughly enjoy directing and coordinating the Nizhoni Academy for Native American high schools students. It is definitely an exciting opportunity to work with and assist students in their pursuit of their educational dreams. One of my favorite quotes is by Henry David Thoreau, "Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined."
