The mission of Educational Support Programs is to assist and prepare students or potential students to graduate from secondary and postsecondary educational institutions by providing them academic and personal support.
Educational Support Programs provides access for all students and supports them in achieving their educational goals by offering the highest quality guidance, knowledge, skills and services. Our department creates a secure and nurturing environment to engage and maintain students in an atmosphere conducive to educational and social progress.
Customer service, in Educational Support Programs, is a philosophy as well as an activity, projecting positive attitudes and identifying behavior and actions that create a student-focused culture in which expectations are exceeded.
We encourage diversity of staff, students and ideas in our programs. We appreciate the depth and breadth of experiences and challenges that occur when working with people from all pathways in life.
Assisting clients with respect involves maintaining integrity when dealing with each client’s concerns including: honesty, openness, responsibility and being forthright.
Our staff works together to support our students and our programs. We support new ways of doing things and new ways of looking at things; we stay current on trends in our professions and we seek more effective ways to do our work.
We believe a supportive healthy working environment is dependent on how Educational Support Program’s culture is revealed to the employees and how it can be influenced or improved. A supportive and healthy working environment is fostered through communication between all staff. Educational Support Programs staff members feel comfortable submitting ideas; our ideas are readily accepted and feedback is given to the individual whether the idea is used or not. Staff members are given support by the administration within our working parameters.
