On Wednesday April 11, Northern Arizona University will sponsor a free, one-day workshop on the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) green building rating system, facilitated by Charlie Popek with Green Ideas. Popek will introduce the LEED rating system and provide a concise review of the materials and knowledge needed to pass the LEED certification examination. The Department of Construction Management at Northern Arizona University sponsors this free workshop. Registration is limited to 30 seats, so be sure to register early. Charlie Popek is one of the first people in Arizona to be accredited by the United States Green Building Council as a LEED Professional, and has been active in the Green Building community for many years. He is also the star of the PBS television show Build It Green, launched in fall 2006.
