Thank you for taking the time to discover why Northern Arizona University construction management students, faculty, friends, and alumni are unique.
We have top tier undergraduate teaching and learning facilities, including state of the art laboratories and access to student computing.
In 2005 we celebrated our twentieth year of service to students, industry and community. Presently, we serve just over 200 undergraduate construction management majors, and over 100 distance graduate students in construction and project management. Our program is large enough to provide everything you would expect from a major university, yet we are small enough for you to form life-long relationships with the faculty and your fellow students.
In 2007 and 2008 the faculty will be focusing on curriculum content renewal and updating. In 2006 our program accreditation was renewed by the American Council for Construction Education.
Our ACCE accreditation attests to the quality of our instruction. However; as a continuous improvement organization, we believe focused effort produces excellence. We are renewing our commitment to the highest level of undergraduate professional construction education possible.
Our faculty have a wide range of industrial and educational backgrounds, providing students with robust content delivery. Each of our seven full time faculty have more that twenty years of development, design, engineering and/or construction experience.
The faculty includes: three Ph.D.'s, and three registered engineers. Two of our faculty have been awarded national construction education awards. All are active in their professional disciplines, and each has made a personal commitment to undergraduate education.
The department also provides distance (WEB/On-line) graduate study in Construction Management, Construction Engineering Management and Project Management, in support of our undergraduate professional school mission.
We also offer minors in Construction Management and Construction Planning and an International Certificate program. In co-operation with the Planning Department our students are able to obtain a Minor in Community Development.
We look forward to having you among our select group of students, parents, alumni and industry supporters.
