Vision

The Commission on Disability Access and Design’s vision is a university community free from physical and attitudinal barriers to services, programs and activities through Universal Design.

Mission:

The Commission’s mission is to collaborate with the university community to create a welcoming, supportive and inclusive university environment.

Goals:

To broaden the university community’s understanding and appreciation of the needs of individuals with disabilities and the benefits of Universal Design in accommodating the needs of all members of the university community.

To promote mutual respect, fairness, equity of opportunity and improving campus climate, access and support for individuals with disabilities. to advise N.A.U. administration, including the Office of Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity, in matters pertaining to individuals with disabilities.

To examine and recommend policies, practices, and programs which affect such individuals in the NAU community.

Universal Design
