Students withdrawing or changing residence classification from out-of-state to in-state will receive an appropriate refund after all proper approvals and forms have been received by the Office Of The Bursar.
Students whose classes are canceled, who drop/add or who go from full-time to part-time status will have their refunds processed after the 14th calendar day of the semester. The refund will take from two to four weeks to be processed.
The Financial Aid Trust Fee, Student Health Fee and Technology Fee are refundable only if a student drops or withdraws prior to the first day of the semester, or has a class canceled.
Beginning Fall 2008, the Wellness Fee is refundable only if a student drops or withdraws prior to the first day of the semester, or has a class canceled.
Beginning Fall 2008, the Student Activity Fee is refundable only if a student drops or withdraws prior to the first day of the semester, or has a class canceled.
The Arizona Student Association Fee was voted for by the students of the three universities to fund this nonprofit lobbying organization representing Arizona university students to the Arizona Board of Regents , the state Legislature, and the U.S. Congress. Students completely withdrawing from the university before the first day of class will receive a 100% refund of the fee. Students may also request a refund of this fee if the request is postmarked before the twenty-first day of the semester in which the refund is being requested. Requests for refunds must be in writing and include the student's name, student ID number, mailing address and the university he or she attends. This information must be sent to ASA Central Office, 511 W. University Drive, Suite 4, Tempe, AZ 85281. Requests dated after the twenty-first day will be denied. Questions regarding ASA, the fee, or refund policy may be forwarded to the ASA Central Office at (602) 999-6358.
The Recreation Bond Fee is refunded based on the same calendar as tuition. Please refer to the refunding calendar below.
Refunds are calculated based on the following schedule for regular 16-week, 12-week, 10-week & 8-week classes:(All refunds will be made less any amounts due the university.)

15th day and after - 0%

If the last day of the refund period falls on a weekend or holiday, the withdrawal must be submitted during regular office hours on the preceding work day. Refund checks will be mailed to your refund address or direct deposited to your bank account. Amounts less than $10 will not be refunded, but may be applied to future charges.
Students receiving Federal/State financial aid may be subject to a separate refund schedule and may be required to make repayment to the financial aid accounts upon withdrawal from the university.
