Wellness Fee

This fee is assessed to all Flagstaff campus students in addition to tuition.  Student services will not be impacted by combining these two fees.  For more information regarding health services see Fronske Health Center, for counseling services see Counseling & Testing Center.

Arizona Student Association Fee

Students may request a refund of this fee by mail, postmarked before the 21st day of the applicable semester.

Your request for refunds must be in writing and include your name, ID number, mailing address, and the university you attend.

Send information to

Information Technology Fee

Arizona Board of Regents approved an information technology fee as a new funding mechanism to assure NAU can continue to provide valuable information technology services that students increasingly expect at a modern university.  This fee will help support a wide array of technologies that are increasingly critical to NAU students' higher education experiences.

Student Health Fee

Beginning Fall 2008, the Arizona Board of Regents approved a combined Recreation Bond Fee and Student Health Fee, called the Wellness Fee.

The $15 health fee is used to support affordable health and mental health services on campus.  Health services include health promotion and public health services that benefit the entire campus.  For a nominal office visit fee, students have access to physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, psychologists, counselors and more.  See nau.edu/fronske for more about health services and nau.edu/ctc for counseling services.

For students eligible for the HOPE SCHOLARSHIP TAX CREDIT or the LIFETIME LEARNING CREDIT, statements reflecting tuition payments made to NAU will be sent by January 31st covering the previous calendar year.

Student Activity Fee

Supports on-campus programs and activities that enhance campus life.  Provides no charge admission to Recreation Center and Wall Aquatic Center and supports the Safe Ride program.

Student Health Insurance

You should review your health insurance needs. You may purchase individual student health insurance through the registration process.

Check the appropriate box on the Course Registration Drop/Add Form, or visit the Fronske Health Center. Students wishing to purchase health insurance for a spouse or dependent must visit Fronske Health Center to enroll.

If insurance is indicated on the registration form, payment must be made together with registration and tuition, or the student insurance will be deleted.

International Students

All international students in the United States are required to purchase the NAU Student Health Insurance. The cost of the Student Health Insurance will be automatically added to fees.
