Project Site Information

The Big Event is NAU's largest day of Service. It is NAU students’ opportunity to give back to the Flagstaff community and a great big way to say THANKS for supporting us. We are currently accepting project applications from the community. Any and all projects will be considered. Project ideas include painting, debris removal, cleaning, raking, planting, pruning, building a shed, sorting, organizing for a yard sale, washing cars, putting together a food donation drive, general yard work, animal care, preparing food, helping move, cleaning lot or playground, doing paperwork, stocking, and anything else with which you may need help.  Individuals and area businesses can both submit applications for student projects.  There is no cost to the business or individual for this service, we only ask that you have someone present to supervise and provide the tools that students will need to complete their tasks.

We are looking for more project requests than we have gotten in the past. We would love to see faculty and staff open up their homes for projects as well as participate with their classes - a great way to get students service orient and bond outside the classroom.

Basic information about The Big Event:
Date: April 1
Application Due Date: March 27
Volunteer times: 10am-2pm
Provide: tools
We will be sending someone out to check on the site prior to accepting the application and all people/organizations will know if their project has been accepted on or before March 30.
