Biography
I am 19 years old and I graduated with honors from the National Technical Honor Society at Canyon del Oro High School. I love to stay active by working out and fencing, which is my sport of choice. I am a member of the Fencing club and Psychology club on campus, and there are many more clubs I hope to join soon. I plan to become a clinical psychologist after college.
Why did you choose to attend Northern Arizona University?
I chose to attend here because the environment is so different from the deserts of Tucson. I wanted to experience a different climate than the one I grew up knowing. Small class sizes is one of the biggest reasons I chose to attend here. I also wanted to live on my own. I love my family dearly, but I think it will prove to be a good experience to live on my own.
What do you like best about Northern Arizona University?
I love the small class sizes here. The campus is beautiful, and all the faculty are friendly and helpful.
What do you do for fun on the weekends?
I enjoy meeting up with friends and just hanging around. There's plenty of hiking to do around here, along with out-of-the-ordinary adventures such as lava tubes, Indian ruins, and beautiful towns like Sedona and Jerome that offer tons to do.
Describe what it is like living on campus.
Living on campus is much better than I had expected it to be. I live on the highest floor in the tallest building on campus, Sechrist Hall. It's about a three-minute walk from the bookstore, the Union, Fronske, and just about anything else I need. I don't even need a car here, and a bike is perfect. I'm friends with many of the people on my floor and my roommate and I get along very well. It's so hassle free living on campus.
