About Jenny

Jenny came to Northern Arizona University in 2001 after graduating for Greenway High School in Phoenix, Arizona.  She quickly fell in love with the city of Flagstaff and thoroughly enjoyed her education at NAU.  In 2005, she graduated from NAU with a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy.

She joined the Admissions team in July of 2007, and loves speaking with students and their families about the university.  Jenny is eager to share her experiences with prospective students and give them a former student’s point of view. 

She and her husband Ben can be found around Flagstaff, enjoying the downtown atmosphere or hiking in the beauty of nature.

What Matters to Me:  What matters to me is that I matter.  I felt valued as a student, and still do as an employee.

My Tips for High School Juniors and Seniors: Apply early!!!  It’s easier to get started early than to play catch up later.  Pay attention to what the admissions requirements are at the college you want to attend.  Your high school may not require four years of math, but we do.

Tips for Transfer Students: Same as for freshman.  Apply early!  It is so much easier to get started, apply even if you’re not sure, than to try and do it all last-minute. Best Tip for Getting Involved on Campus: Live on-campus!!!  You will always know what’s going on every day, every night. 

The Advice I Wish I'd Gotten or Paid Attention to Before College:  If you are interested in visiting another country, definitely look into our Study Abroad program.  It’s very easy to fit in a summer or semester and still graduate in four years.
