Eileen Galvin Knight Title: Associate Director |
Recruits students from: Yuma County in Arizona
About Eileen: Eileen has been in Admissions for the past ten years and thoroughly enjoys assisting students in finding the right college to continue their studies.
What Matters to Me: College should be one of the most rewarding experiences in a person’s life. It’s important to me that a student feels comfortable where they are and has all the tools and resources at the ready to succeed and be happy.
Tips for high school juniors and seniors: Develop positive study and time management habits now so you’ll be able to transition easily to college life.
Tips for transfer students: Visit the website www.transfer.org to see what classes will transfer from one school to another. Also, speak with faculty and admissions staff to find out about internship opportunities, travel abroad and college exchange programs.
Best tip for getting involved on campus: Get involved with something that you are passionate about. You’ll instantly have a bond with others in the same club or organization.Advice I wish I'd gotten or paid attention to before college: Take advantage of community service projects, both locally and internationally. It will look great on your resume and will open doors for you in the future.
Why I think you should consider NAU: NAU has so much to offer students academically as well as personally. Our students have a lot of school spirit; there are many different activities and opportunities for everyone.
