All But Dissertation Stress Survey
As a doctoral candidate, I am creating an instrument assessing factors contributing to All But Dissertation (A.B.D.) stress among counselor education, counseling psychology, and clinical psychology doctoral programs across the United States. I am requesting the participation of all counselor education, counseling psychology, and clinical psychology doctoral students who have completed all their coursework, preliminary and comprehensive exams, and internship, but have not successfully defended their doctoral dissertation. I believe the results of the study will identify patterns of stress associated with being all but dissertation, as well as, provide important information to administrators regarding program design and mentoring.
